Leptidea sinapis (Linnaeus, 1758)
General description:
A vagrant.
Recorded twice in the last 50 years. A single butterfly was seen for several days in the spring of 1973, the area below the layby at Engineer road, just below Jews' Gate.
Another was seen flying in the spring of 1988, around the northern Talus by the area by William's Way tunnel.
The species has not been seen since.
Common in the Campo area of Spain, around Gibraltar close to fresh water streams.
